Go to Angkor in Cambodia and spend weeks there, leisurely rambling unique temples in a tropical landscape.
Lonely and silent, Angkor has now become a more fantastic destination than ever before.
Cambodia, and especially Siem Reap Angkor, is one of the best Covid-19 protected places globally.
Take your time, design your personal program and guide yourself. Roaming Angkor on your own is easy and much more productive than following guided tours.
I have done this since twenty years ago; now, independent tours have become in Siem Reap.
It looks like an excellent program for anyone wanting to visit Angkor. Reinhart has covered the details well. The map is extremely useful.
When can we travel to Angkor again?

Last week it was still looking bad for tourism in Cambodia. The Ministry of Tourism worked on the opening plan in phases. A kind of copy/paste Phuket sandbox.
First, Sihanoukville would open, then Phnom Penh and finally Siem Reap. There would be two months between each phase.

I am Reinhart Zieger, a studied historian and experienced teacher with 20 years of Angkor background.
Since I have discovered the secrets of the temples, they have been telling me marvellous stories.
I consider myself more of a detective who reads tracks and is a storyteller than an expert.
