Thee missing Book: Temples of Shiva and the Buddha in Angkor

I am Johann Reinhart Zieger, called Reinhart, born 1938 in Germany, living in Siem Reap Angkor for years, and listening to the stories the temples tell me.

One day, I heard a Hymn on Shiva, at the top of the Bakong pyramid, it was wonderful. Then I met the singers, happy Hindus from Ubud, Bali.

In Angkor Wat, Hindus from India are confused and ask me sometimes: “Is this temple really Buddhist?”. No.it is Hindu!

Common Angkor guidebooks pass on the Western ignorance about Hinduism; the temples seem to be dead and meaningless, just objects of sightseeing.

There are only Western guide books for the temples of Angkor.

I want to bring alive the spirituality of all the temples:

The temples of Shiva, Bakong, Preah Ko, Phnom Bakheng, Baksei Chamkrong, Prasat Kravan, East Mebon, Pre Rup, Takeo, and Baphuon. The Buddhist temples, from Thommanon, Banteay Samré, Ta Prohm, Preah Khan, and Bayon with Angkor Thom.

And to re-discover the great Hindu sites Koh Ker, and Preah Vihear.

There is no book on the market which displays the temples of Angkor as Hindu or Buddhist.

A new book is wanted

As a Westerner and dilatant, I can just deliver comprehensive fact files, photos, and plans.

I’m looking for a co-author with a Hindu background who opens up the spiritual meaning.

A publisher is wanted

And last not least, we need a publisher who provides editing, layout, printing, and marketing.
